The Little Hotel Venø

History
We call the house ”The Little Hotel Venø”, but it was previously known as ”The Stockmans Cottage”. The house was built in 1928 as part of Sonderskov Farm, to which it still belongs. Over the years “The Little Hotel Venø” has been used in various ways; as staff-quarters for, among others the stockman (hence the name); as a summer home for family and friends as well as a renting cottage.

Location
”The Little Hotel Venø” is beautifully situated with a veiw westwards over Venø Sound. The cottage is surrounded by trees and has a small lawn, less than 100 meters from the beach.
To reach ”The Little Hotel Venø” one follows the main road north from the ferry for 1.7 km. At the sharp bend in the road follow the gravel road straight ahead (signposted as 9 – 11). ”The Little Hotel Venø” is on the left-hand side.

Layout of the Cottage
”The Little Hotel Venø” was completely renovated in 2003/04 as the cottage is a listed building. All of the furnishings are new.
”The Little Hotel Venø” is a double-story red-brick villa with a small cellar and a carport.
The cottage is 112 sq.meters and is laid out as follows:
- 3 large bedrooms with double beds (sleeps 6) with lots of cupboard space
- The living room faces southwest and is furnished with a leather sofa-suite; a dining table with seating for 6; a cd/radio; satellit-tv; wood-stove etc…
- Well equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer; stove & oven, extractor fan and a dishwasher.
- Laundry room with washing machine and tumbledryer.
- Bathroom / toilet
- Hall
”The Little Hotel Venø” is heated by oil.

Practical information
”The Little Hotel Venø” is an allergy-friendly house, where neither smoking nor pets are allowed. This rule MUST be respected by tenants.
”The Little Hotel Venø” may be hired in the following ways:
- Single rooms
- Whole cottage
The house or rooms can be hired for 1 day, 1 week, 1 weekend, an extended weekend etc..
Rents for rooms or the whole house are inclusive, covering:
- Heating, electricity, water and wood for the fireplace.
- Clean bathroom towels.
- Clean bedlinen on arrival. Bedlinen is changed weekly for rentals of a week or more.
- Washing powder, cleaning materials, lavatory paper and kitchen towel.
The house will be warmed prior to arrival during the cold season.
Single room hirings have access to:
- Bathroom / toilet
- Living room
- Kitchen with all facilities
- Laundry room and all facilities
Arrivals & Departures
Arrivals can start from 14.00 hrs.
Departures must take place no later than 11.00 hrs.
The house must be left clean and tidy and in the same condition as at arrival.
Special arrangements
Fresh bread & rolls can be delivered during the summer months.
- Special arrangements can be made for rentals.
- It is possible to borrow weekend beds with quilt and pillow.
